STEINBAUER does not use a generic one-setting-fits-all approach. Each compatible application is developed around the relevant engine, injection system and original power output.
This allows the performance increase to be matched to the individual tractor application. On many suitable agricultural applications, power and torque increases of up to approximately 25% are available.
The exact increase depends on the engine and application.
How STEINBAUER works
No permanent ECU remap.
A STEINBAUER module is external, removable hardware that works alongside the original engine-management system. The factory ECU software does not need to be permanently rewritten.
On suitable diesel applications, STEINBAUER uses application-specific injection-duration optimisation as the main method of increasing engine output.
This allows the original ECU to continue carrying out its normal monitoring, diagnostic and engine-management functions.
Not simply a rail-pressure tuning box
Many basic common-rail tuning boxes obtain additional fuel delivery by altering the rail-pressure signal sent to the ECU. STEINBAUER uses a different approach.
A significant increase in fuel-rail pressure can affect injector flow and spray characteristics while also increasing mechanical stress within the high-pressure fuel system.
STEINBAUER therefore does not rely on a significant increase in rail pressure as its main method of performance enhancement.

STEINBAUER UK can provide professional installation and PTO dynamometer testing for suitable tractors and locations.
PTO dyno testing allows the tractor’s standard performance and STEINBAUER performance to be measured under controlled load, providing a clear before-and-after comparison of power and torque.
Installation with PTO dyno testing is available from approximately £300, depending on the tractor, application and location.
