What does EV tuning actually mean?
On an electric vehicle, there is no fuel-injection duration or turbo boost to adjust in the same way as a combustion engine. Performance behaviour is controlled electronically across the electric drivetrain. Depending on the vehicle and the available STEINBAUER application, development may focus on response, power delivery, torque characteristics or recuperation.
Why isn't every EV suitable?
Electric platforms vary significantly. Two models that appear similar can use different motors, inverters, battery systems, software versions or control strategies. That is why STEINBAUER compatibility is confirmed against the exact vehicle rather than assuming one solution will suit an entire model range.
What information is useful?
The manufacturer, exact model, registration year, battery or powertrain version and original power output are the most useful starting points. Where no current application is listed, owners can register interest so demand for a particular model can be recorded.
