What increasing recuperation can change
Where a compatible solution exists, stronger recuperation can change the amount of deceleration available through the electric drivetrain and increase energy recovery during suitable driving conditions.
Why there are limits
The vehicle itself determines when regenerative braking is available. Battery charge level, temperature, traction conditions and manufacturer control logic can all limit or reduce recuperation. A responsible application therefore works with the vehicle's existing systems rather than assuming maximum regeneration is always available.
Power increase is not required
A useful distinction with STEINBAUER EV development is that recuperation can be considered separately from additional drive power. On selected vehicles a recuperation-only option may retain the standard power output.
